Issb Guideline Part 4 (PSYCH DIMENSION)

issb pointer stories
Starting with the name of Allah all mighty who is the most merciful and the most beneficial. Gentlemen in the previous post we learned about the Issb Picture story writing as known as TAT in psychology if you haven't checked that post I highly recommend you check that. today we will talk about another psychologist test, called the pointer story writing. In this test, a candidate is given a short outline of an incomplete story (2 stories per batch) which he/she has to complete in the given time.
The pointer story is a bit challenging as compared to the picture story writing as in pointer stories there will be no picture given but a few words of the story which is up to you how you start and how you tailored the story.
The following points should be kept in mind for the pointer stories tests
  • Think with a clear mind about the story
  • Observe the start very carefully as this will be your only hint
  • don't spend too much time on thinking about a story just write enough content in 6 to 7 lines which can reflect a story that makes some sense in reading
  • Time management is the most important thing in all tests
  • start your story from the given outline and then briefly discuss the main body, desires and then achievements
  • your handwriting should be neat and clean
  • All the rules of picture story writings are applied here so be careful
however, it should be kept in mind that the pointer story is different from picture story as in the picture you will be given a picture on which you can make a story the way you want but in pointer stories, you will start from the outline given to you. Never wait for too long and always write the first thought that comes to your mind and that is positive enough. Our main goal is to write stories as positive as we can but at the same time we should not destroy our personality because of cramming the stories

EXAMPLES
  • Ups and downs made his life.......
  • she was all alone in her room and .....
  • his thirst for money......
  • he was walking alone on the road where he saw a lonely girl
make sure you write a story on each one of the examples in the comment section and I will tell you about your story and what should be improved.
thank you so much for reading this post I hope you will like this. ALLAH HAFIZ
