Gentlemen in the previous post we learned about the issb sentence completion test I hope you would have found it great and helpful today we will talk about the Issb Picture Story Writing test called as TAT (thematic apperception test).

Introduction
The TAT is a kind of personality assessment test in which the subject is provided with a sequence of pictures on which he/she has to write a short story, however it should be kept in mind that there is no right and wrong story anything you write will be acceptable and will directly reflect your personality as well as your way of thinking so one has to be very careful in attempting this test.

Usefull information for test
First of all, let me tell you that there will be 3 pictures which will be shown on the screen for a fixed and a very short period of time. You have to think and analyze the picture carefully and see what is actually happening but at the same time be very very careful about the time as keeping a ticking clock in mind will always help you and especially in Armed Forces. After analyzing the picture carefully you should now have an idea then you should start writing a story. Keep  the following points in your mind before you start writing
  • What is in the picture, this is the most important thing as anything you see in the picture shows your personality so be very careful
  • Your story should be at least 7-8 lines neither shorter nor longer than that
  • Always start in a proper sequence a good story will have its introduction about the subject, what is actually happening in the story and then in the moral result what happened
  • The start of the story can be from any direction but the end of a good story will always contain a lesson, an act of kindness or bravery or achievement etc
  • Keep your writing clean
  • Do not write childish and nonserious stories like hard to believe
  • Always make stories that make some sense
  • Story containing your merits is a plus point
  • Avoid cramming and copying stories of others as they may have different personality
